More than a decade in shameless self-promotion has honed my skills for exactly what you need.
A film student in college I specialized at the time in screenwriting and video editing / sound design, quickly becoming the first choice editor for every “auteur filmmaker” who didn’t have the time to piece together her masterpiece. Editing for pizza, essentially, I wound up working as the head graphic/web designer for the university department of recreations. From small projects promoting intramurals to creating all media for the ACIS Flag Football National Championships it was my first real step into the fields of graphic design and branding.
Instead of seeking professional work in the field after graduation I instead decided to fulfill a much less professional field known as stand-up comedy for the next decade. Stand-up comedy, a ruthless world of DIY self-promotion on a shoestring budget. Over the years I made use of the skills I entertained in college and put them to the test creating hundreds of gig posters, facebook announcements, registry-lapsed websites, and quickly abandoned podcasts. Every unique project and reinvention pushing me further than I was interested in and in less time than I probably needed. I’ve written sketch shows, punched up scripts, edited feature length films you’ve never heard of, and designed touring merch, cd and dvd inserts, fake chick tracts, newspaper stips, longterm partnership proposals for brand sponsors, business cards, and more postcard sized promotion handouts than I care to remember.
My toolbox includes: Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, Final Draft, WordPress, Content Writing, and Soup-to-Nuts brand construction.
Now that I’m off the road I have decided to put this experience to good use and to seek out content creators and small businesses who could benefit from my experience. More than just quick one offs though, I would ultimately like to build sustainable relationships with these clients as we grow together.
I work quick. I’m not afraid to take risks. And above all else I want to make you happy with the work that I do. You deserve it.
